Stablecoin wallets for agents

Stablecoins for agents, with guardrails you choose.

Some things agents pay for are priced per request in USDC. AgentWallet lets agents sign those payments. The mandate-bound path runs the same caps and approval gate as purchases; the generic path only enforces an optional per-call maximum.

AgentWallet is invite-only. Request access and we will follow up.

In short

A stablecoin wallet for an agent lets it hold or pay in a dollar-pegged token such as USDC. In AgentWallet this is used for x402 pay-per-request payments on the Base network and for crypto payout destinations, alongside on-chain identity registries for principals and agents.

How it works

How stablecoin payments work for an agent.

  1. Agent requests a resource

An HTTP API replies 402 Payment Required with an x402 offer.

  2. Offer is checked

Network, asset, amount, recipient and deadline are validated; unsupported networks are refused.

  3. Limits, on the gated path

With agent_pay_via_x402 (AP2 cart mandate) the amount goes through the agent's spend gate. With the generic x402.pay_url tool only the optional maxAmountAtomic applies.

  4. Agent signs

An EIP-712 typed signature authorises the USDC transfer.

  5. Resource is delivered

The request is retried with payment and recorded on the ledger.

Capabilities

Stablecoin capabilities

Networks shown reflect the current configuration and may change.

Asset

USDC

Used for x402 payments.

Network

Base

x402 supports Base and Base Sepolia; the active network is set per deployment.

Identity

On-chain registries

Account, principal and agent registries currently deployed on Base Sepolia testnet.

Receive

x402 invoices

Agents can issue x402 invoices to get paid.

Payouts

Crypto destinations

Payout catalog includes stablecoin destinations such as USDT on Ethereum, where enabled.

Ledger

Unified history

Crypto and fiat movements sit on the same ledger.

Use cases

When stablecoins make sense for agents

Per-call APIs

Pay fractions of a dollar per request without a subscription or shared key.

Agent-to-agent services

An agent can charge another agent via an x402 invoice.

Cross-border contractors

Where supported, pay out to a stablecoin wallet destination.

Verifiable identity

Register principals and agents on-chain so counterparties can check who they deal with.

For developers

x402 without writing signing code.

Agents use the x402 flow through AgentWallet tools; merchants can issue invoices.

  • GET/POST /api/x402/agents/:agentId/invoice
  • POST /api/agents/:id/ensure-on-chain for agent registration

# Resource server answers:
HTTP/1.1 402 Payment Required
{ "scheme": "exact", "network": "base",
  "asset": "USDC", "payTo": "0x…", "maxAmountRequired": "0.05" }

# AgentWallet validates the offer, checks caps,

Security & controls

Pick the x402 path that matches your risk.

We describe what the platform does; we do not make custody or regulatory claims here. Ask us about your setup.

Offer validation

Mismatched amount, recipient or network is rejected before signing.

Two paths, different gates

agent_pay_via_x402 runs the caps and approval gate. x402.pay_url has no cap, approval or ledger gate beyond maxAmountAtomic.

Explicit errors

Failures return typed error codes you can handle.

Testnet identity

On-chain registries run on Base Sepolia today; treat them as non-production.

FAQ

Questions developers ask

Which stablecoins are supported?

USDC for x402 payments. Other assets may appear as payout destinations depending on your account.

Which chain?

Base. The x402 network is configurable between Base and Base Sepolia per deployment.

Who holds the keys?

Custody arrangements depend on your account setup. We do not make custody claims on this page; ask us during onboarding.

Who can use AgentWallet today?

Access is invite-only while we onboard teams. Request access from any page; sign-up is enabled per email or domain once you are approved.

Do you guarantee availability in my country or a specific settlement time?

No. Supported rails, currencies and timing depend on the underlying banking, card and payout partners for your account. We confirm what is available for your account during onboarding rather than promising it upfront.

Let agents pay per request.

Request access to try x402 and USDC with your agents.
